A beautiful garden party market … yummy french fries, food trucks and ice cream sandwiches … family fun … celebrity meet and greets … local businesses chipping in … so many, many bikes lining the overflowing sidewalks … amazing entertainment and pipes and drums … and those OPP Golden Helmets motorcycles roaring down Main Street.
September 14th was quite the day in Winchester as ‘Winchester Raises the Roof’ blew the roof right off our amazing town! At each event, everyone was invited to support the new Dundas Manor in any way they could.
“It’s taken a bit of time to add it all up but we are excited to share that $12,239 was raised throughout the day!” notes Campaign Assistant Cindy Ault Peters. “We are still in awe of the incredible support. There are so many people to thank and so many wonderful stories of our community coming together to support everyone’s long-term care home!”
There were donation boxes throughout town and WDMH Foundation volunteer Board members chatted with donors as they collected contributions. In fact, an anonymous donor decided to match the donations collected during the OPP Golden Helmets performance as a way to thank everyone for their hard work, generosity and volunteerism for the new Dundas Manor, noting how incredible the event was.
Thank you to the Winchester Downtown Revitalization Committee, the Winchester Bike Night Committee, the North Dundas team, the many volunteers and sponsors, local businesses, the OPP Golden Helmets and everyone who was part of this special day. And thank you to the hundreds of people who came and made a donation!
